An own goal boosted the University of Hawai'i soccer team to a 2-1 win over Idaho this afternoon in the Western Athletic Conference finale for both teams in Moscow, Idaho.

Hawai'i (8-6-4, 4-2-1 WAC) finished the season on a three-game winning streak and secured the third seed for the upcoming WAC Tournament.

The Rainbow Wahine rallied from an 1-0 halftime deficit. Freshman Colleen Burns scored her first career goal off an assist from Ambree Ako at the 51-minute mark to tie match at 1-1.

Ako's shot bounced off Idaho goalkeeper Liz Boyden and bounced in front of Burns, who converted.

Three minutes later, Hawai'i went ahead 2-1 on an own goal when Idaho tried to clear the ball, but it deflected into the goal.

Hawai'i goalkeeper Kori Lu finished with six saves.

Ashley Perez scored for Idaho (1-16-2, 0-6-1) in the 24th minute. Kamehameha graduates Shelby Moriguchi started for Idaho and Jennifer Eugenio came off the bench in the loss.

The WAC Tournament starts on Thursday in Reno, Nev.
