North Shore surf may reach 15 feet later today

Advertiser Staff

A large, northwest swell has arrived and will cause surf along the north-facing shores of O'ahu to build to 10 feet to 12 feet early today, the National Weather Service said. The surf is expected to peak near the 15-foot advisory level later in the day, forecasters said.

Elsewhere on O'ahu, look for surf of 7 feet to 10 feet along west-facing shores, 1 foot to 3 feet along east-facing shores and 2 feet to 3 feet along south facing shores.

Outlook through Tuesday, Nov. 11: Moderate north shore surf will gradually decline on Saturday, with another northwest swell boosting surf back near the north shore advisory level late Sunday and Monday.
