CBKB: Cent. Michigan reinstates Van

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Central Michigan's basketball coach reinstated Marcus Van less than two weeks after the senior was dismissed for a violation of team rules.
Van recently demonstrated a better understanding of what is expected from team members, coach Ernie Zeigler said in a statement this week. Van will start the season with a six-game suspension.
Zeigler announced Van's dismissal on Oct. 24.
The 6-foot-7 center from Chicago played in 30 games last year, his only season at Central Michigan. He averaged 5.8 points and a team-high 5.3 rebounds.
