Love triangle fight ends with 2 sent to hospital

A 42-year-old man is being investigated on suspicion of first-degree burglary and second-degree assault after he allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend's apartment last night and got into a fight that ended with both the suspect and the girlfriend's new boyfriend being taken to the hospital, police said.
Police responded to a call from a 32-year-old woman who called from her residence in the Palolo area around 9:30 last night.
The complainant told police her ex-boyfriend has just broken into her home and was engaged in a fight with her current boyfriend inside the apartment.
When police arrived, they discovered the male suspect in the master bedroom seriously injured and lying atop a mattress soaked with blood.
The complainant's current boyfriend was also located at the scene, police said, and he had injuries to his face where he said the alleged suspect bit him. The suspect was taken to an area hospital where he is being confined. The male victim was also transported to the hospital, but he was treated and released
No arrests have been made at this time pending investigation, police said.
