Man accused of murder in Kalihi stabbing death
A 27-year-old Kalihi man has been charged with second-degree murder in Monday's stabbing death of a man at a Kalihi apartment complex.
Renson Joseph, of 802 Waiakamilo Road, made his initial court appearance yesterday in District Court. He is being held on $250,000 bail.
Joseph is accused of fatally stabbing Otomar Muritox, 36, of Waipahu, during a confrontation at 10:30 p.m. Monday in front of apartment 7C at 801 Kaiwiula St.
Muritox was stabbed in the neck. He was pronounced dead at The Queen's Medical Center at 11:04 p.m.
A police affidavit said Joseph's girlfriend saw him run into their apartment, grab a kitchen knife from the sink area and return to the nearby Kaiwiula Street apartment.
