On Wednesday, Nov. 19, Events International and Hawaii RED Magazine host the inaugural NightMarket@AlohaTower. This monthly showcase event will feature fashion, food, art, entertainment and retail from Hawai'i and the Pacific Rim, with a message of sustainability and community involvement.

Night Markets originated in Asia, and have developed an international following in showcasing art, culture, fashion and contemporary products.

NightMarket@AlohaTower will feature a farmers market and food booths with offerings from chefs and food vendors. There will be interactive activities such as a fashion make-overs, wine tastings, art shows, and fashion shows.

Community involvement and social responsibility will be an underlying theme at every event. Local not-for-profits will be offered space, and NightMarket is partnering with Blue Planet Foundation to purchase carbon credits to offset the event's carbon footprint.

The first NightMarket takes place 5 to 10 p.m. Nov. 19, with a base at the Waterfront at Aloha Tower. Admission is free. Call 732-6699 for information updates.
