BUENOS AIRES, Argentina — Fans of an Argentine soccer team were so desperate to get to a game on time that they hijacked two buses and forced the drivers at knifepoint to go faster. Police also said they robbed several passengers.
Sixty-three men and three women were arrested and charged Thursday, with most released from custody, police spokesman Walter Golia said Friday.
The fans of the second-division team Chacarita were heading to the game against Talleres in San Martin, on the outskirts of Buenos Aires. They never made it to the game, which Chacarita won 3-2.
