Kaua'i to host teen suicide forum on Tuesday

Advertiser Staff

A community forum on teen suicide will be held Tuesday at the Anahola Clubhouse on Kaua'i.

The theme of the event is "Hope, Health and Healing."

Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m., courtesy of Queen Liliuokalani Children's Center.

The forum will begin at 6.

"We want to reach out to the community on the subject of suicide and let them know what kinds of resources are available on Kaua'i," said Gina Kaulukukui with Life's Bridges Hawai'i, Inc.

The event is sponsored by a number of local agencies including Hale Kipa; Kapa'a High School Parent Teacher Student Association; Kaua'i Police Department; Life's Bridges Hawai'i, Inc; Mokihana Project, Kapa'a; and Queen Liliuokalani Children's Center.

Anyone who would like to attend the event should call 245-1873 to confirm attendance so a headcount can be taken for dinner.

For more information, contact Kaulukukui at 651-6637.
