Punchbowl exit from H-1 east-bound closed for now

The Punchbowl Street off-ramp leading from the east-bound lanes of the H-1 Freeway is closed at this time as a result of an earlier traffic collision in which a utility pole was left leaning out over the street, police said.
The crash occurred at 12:37 a.m. this morning across from Jiffy Lube, police said.
A Hawaiian Electric Co. was at the scene as of 4:25 a.m. and estimated repairs will take about 10 hours to complete, police said.
They advised motorists wanting to use Punchbowl Street to get off at the Kinau Street exit, travel down Ward Avenue and then use Beretania Street to get back to Punchbowl.
