Christmas Between the Avenues, an outdoor family festival with food, keiki rides, live entertainment and local crafters showcasing their handmade products and treasures, will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. Dec. 6 at Nanaikapono Elementary School.

The free festival, sponsored by the Neighbors of 3rd Road (Mano Avenue) in Nanakuli, is a celebration of the fellowship of being neighbors.

The theme, "E hoe aku i ka wa'a" (paddle the canoe in a forward motion), honors volunteer organizations that keep community service alive and well.

Parking will be available "street side" on Hale'akala Avenue and on Nanakuli Avenue.
