The Honolulu Police Department's crisis negotiation team was called out Friday morning to a Kalihi business when a man refused to leave while a process server was attempting to evict him.

The 63-year-old man threatened to "commit harm to himself or others" during the 10:13 a.m. incident, police said. The man allegedly is the owner of Pacific Professional Products in Kalihi. After several hours the man voluntarily agreed to leave the business and was taken to an area hospital for evaluation, police said.
