Shakespeare's "Macbeth" was never like this.

Advertiser theater critic Joseph T. Rozmiarek had this to say about the Kennedy Theatre production:

"The Macbeths speak Spanish. Others toil in Japanese and Russian and everybody fractures Elizabethan English. If you're not fussy about language, you will enjoy the 'Road Warrior' violence and costuming."

"Macbeth" repeats at 8 p.m. today and 2 p.m. tomorrow at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa. Tickets are $18 general; $16 UH faculty and staff, seniors, military; $12 children and students; $5 UH-Manoa students. 956-7655, www.etickethawaii.com.
