The Kailua-bound lanes of the Pali Highway were closed for a little more than an hour this morning following a fiery crash.

The lanes were close a little past 3:15 a.m. at the upper Nuuanu Pali Drive following a collision at the hairpin turn on the windward side of the tunnels, police said.

A vehicle involved in the crash caught fire and the highway had to be closed until it cooled down enough to tow, police said.

There were no injuries and Pali Highway reopened at 4:35 a.m.
