Hawaii remains at No. 6

The University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team remained at No. 6 in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 Poll.
The Rainbows (26-3) won all three matches at the Western Athletic Conference Tournament, beating New Mexico State on Sunday en route to their 11th straight WAC crown.
Penn State (30-0) remained at No. 1 in the poll that was released yesterday, receiving all 60 first-place votes.
Also yesterday, Hawai'i senior Jamie Houston was named WAC Player of the Week for the third time this season.
It is the ninth honor of her career, tying her for the most in WAC history. Houston was named WAC Tournament MVP after averaging 4.5 kills, 2.2 digs and 1.1 blocks per set.

BYUH SCOOPS UP
Brigham Young-Hawai'i sophomore midfielder Natasha Aiono was named Pacific West Conference women's soccer Player of the Year yesterday.
BYU-Hawai'i's Becky Ploeger was named Goalkeeper of the Year, and William Mahoni was Coach of the Year after guiding the Seasiders to a 14-5 record.
Seasiders forward Emily Mearns and defender Stefanie Wright also were named to the PacWest first team.
Chaminade's Marisa Faye, Hawai'i-Hilo's Melissa Grant and Hawai'i Pacific's Caitlyn McNeely also made the first team.
