Former Hawaiian Airlines President Paul Casey has been named partner and director at Honolulu-based Sennet Capital LLC.

"We're delighted to have Paul become more involved in the leadership of the organization," said Larry Gilbert, managing director of Sennet Capital. "His significant operating experience and impressive global network of relationships brings new dimension to our merchant banking team."

Casey joined Sennet in 2006 as a member of the board of advisers and venture partner.

Casey will continue as CEO of PingDa, a venture with Honolulu-based Dragonbridge that consolidates travel businesses in China. Before that, Casey was chief executive officer of Galaxy Systems, a software startup company in Bangkok, and was also an investor in and adviser to Hawai'i-based startup companies.

Casey's resume includes stints as president and CEO of Hawaiian Airlines and the Hawai'i Visitors and Convention Bureau. He also has held senior positions with Thomas Cook, Continental Airlines and Pan American World Airways.

Sennet Capital is a merchant bank focused on investing in mid-market companies and renewable energy opportunities. The bank's 30-member board of advisers includes executives from a range of industries including real estate, commercial banking and technology.
