Starwood Hotels & Resorts Hawaii is offering 1,000 discounted kama'aina room packages and spa treatments in a "Big Give Hawaii" online auction to benefit food banks on all islands. Minimum bids start as low as $80 a night, and 20 percent of the proceeds will feed the hungry. The online auction runs through Sunday at www.biggivehawaii.com.
Starwood's holdings include Sheraton and Westin hotels and resorts on O'ahu, Maui, Kaua'i and the Big Island, and the W Honolulu Diamond Head. Winning bidders must travel between Dec. 8 and Jan. 31, 2009.
