Brushfire burns acre on Big Island

Firefighters on the Big Island brought a brushfire under control near the Seaside Mountain Golf Course within 55 minutes last night, with no structures threatened.
The Pahala fire station in the Ka'u District received the first alarm shortly after 6:30 p.m. and were at the Punalu'u Beach area within two minutes.
The fire was extinguished shortly after 10 p.m. It caused an estimated $800 in damage.
