Honu stop Sharks for first win in winter

Kyu Hyun Moon singled home Chris Carter from third base with two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning as the North Shore Honu edged the Honolulu Sharks, 11-10, last night in Hawaii Winter Baseball action at Hans L'Orange Park.
Moon batted 5 for 7 for the Honu (1-2), who handed the Sharks (2-1) their first loss of the young season.
Kyle Martin added three hits, including a three-run homer, and drove in four runs, and Kenji Satoh contributed two hits and two RBIs for North Shore.
Tony Cruz had four hits, including three doubles, and drove in two runs for Honolulu. Greg Veloz added three hits and two RBIs.
The Sharks took a 10-9 lead in the top of the 10th on doubles by Kala Ka'aihue and Cruz.
In the bottom of the 10th, Yamaico Navarro singled and advance to third on Carter's single. Matt McBride's sacrifice fly scored Navarro before Moon singled up the middle to end a game that lasted 4 hours, 26 minutes.
CANEFIRES UNBEATEN
Tyler Henson had five hits and scored four runs as the West Oahu CaneFires routed the Waikiki BeachBoys, 12-3, in the nightcap.
Henson improved his batting average to .636 for the CaneFires (3-0). Miles Durham added three hits, including a three-run homer.
Todd Frazier hit a two-run homer and RBI double for Waikiki (0-3).
