The Army ROTC program at the University of Hawai'i will recognize six graduates who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country during a dedication ceremony at 4 p.m. Oct. 9 at the UH Army ROTC Department at UH Manoa's makai campus.
Lts. Tom Blevens (Class of 1965), Frank Rodriguez (Class of 1967), Brian Kong (Class of 1969), Jeremy Wolfe (Class of 2002), Nainoa Hoe (Class of 2003), and Jonathan Brostrom (Class of 2006) gave their lives in conflicts in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.
The UH Army ROTC program will dedicate a Wall of UH Fallen Warriors with each of them memorialized in a framed picture and story of their lives at the UH Army ROTC building.
It is the UH Army ROTC Program and its cadets' way, both past and present, of honoring the spirit and sacrifice of these Manoa Warriors who paid the supreme price for our country, made Hawai'i proud, and led by example for future generations of cadets, event organizers said.
The dedication is open to the public to join in the celebration of these young men's lives.
