Kekaha landfill community compensation meeting set
Advertiser Staff
The first in a series of Kaua'i Department of Public Works meetings to discuss host community benefits available to compensate the Kekaha community for the upcoming expansion of the Kekaha Landfill will be held tomorrow from 7-9 p.m. at the Kekaha Neighborhood Center.
One of the topics to be covered is the formation of a citizens advisory committee, a volunteer group that will help develop a compensation package for the Kekaha community utilizing county funds.
Future meetings in this series will be coordinated by the advisory committee.
Kekaha residents interested in serving on the committee but unable to attend the first meeting should call Allison Fraley, the county's Solid Waste Program coordinator, at 241-4837.
