The Aloha Stadium is opening the parking at Ford Island for today's University of Hawai'i football game.

The Warriors face Louisiana Tech in a Western Athletic Conference game at 6:05 p.m.

Ford Island, which was not open for parking two weeks ago for the San Jose State game, will be open because of homecoming and the expected crowd size.

All other alternate parking sites, including Leeward Community College, Kam Drive-In, and Radford High School, also will be open.

All parking gates are scheduled to open at 2:30 p.m. except the lower Halawa lot, which will open at 1:30 p.m. for the public. The lower Halawa lot accommodates approximately 1,500 vehicles.

Access to the lower Halawa lot will be through parking gates 3 and 4 beginning at 1:30 p.m. Vehicles will not be allowed to move to other sections of the parking lot from the lower Halawa lot.

The upper Halawa lot will open at 2:30 p.m. Access to the upper Halawa lot will be through parking gates 3 and 4.

All inner circle parking is reserved for UH Athletics this season. Access to the inner circle parking areas will be via pass only and through the Main Salt Lake Gate 1 (for sections 1-7) and the North Kam Gate 2 (for sections 8-14).

There will be no public parking available on the inner circle, except for the limited amount of ADA stalls. These ADA stalls will be open to the public on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parking attendants will be asking for ADA placards and ADA issued identification cards. Guests who are unable to produce the placard and the ID card to match a person inside the vehicle will not be allowed to park in the ADA areas.

In addition, Centerplate will once again host the Aloha Zone in the grass area near the Upper Halawa Lot (near pole 29). The tailgate offers free admission, is open from 3 to 6 p.m., and is held under a large tent, televisions to watch other football games around the country, and entertainment. The Chevron Family Fun Zone will again be located at the Aloha Zone. The Chevron Family Fun Zone is free to all and features thrilling rides, exciting contests, and full-filled inflatables from Xtreme Fun Rentals.
