NFL: Suspended Pacman Jones begins alcohol treatment

By Calvin Watkins
The Dallas Morning News

Suspended Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam Jones will begin alcohol treatment tomorrow at an undisclosed location in the Dallas area, according to a source.

Jones, working with former Cowboys cornerback Deion Sanders and a friend, began the process of trying to get back into the league after the NFL suspended him Tuesday.

The league has required Jones to go into treatment following his fight last week with his bodyguard in a hotel bathroom. Dallas police were called to the scene and determined Jones was drinking.

Jones was suspended indefinitely. He will be able to apply for reinstatement after missing four games.

The Associated Press reported Jones will not have his probation revoked in Georgia as a result of his fight. Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard said probation officers decided not to pursue revocation proceedings because Jones wasn't arrested for the incident.
