The public is invited to the fifth anniversary celebration of the U.S. Vets shelter in Kalaeloa today.

Site tours start at 4:30 p.m. and a formal program begins at 5:30 p.m. Cost of food and entertainment is $5.

Former prisoner of war Jerry Coffee will be the guest speaker.

The U.S. Vets center is on Shangri-La Avenue, Building 37.

Since the program opened, an estimated 1,100 veterans have been served with affordable housing, job training and drug treatment programs.
