Firefighters assist injured hiker in Manoa

Firefighters today brought out an injured hiker from the Manoa Falls trail.
The injured man, a visitor from the mainland in the 60s, suffered can injured foot. Firefighters responding to the 11:40 a.m. call for assistance hiked in, treated and packaged the man to be taken out by helicopter, said HFD Capt. Terry Seelig,
Heavy tree cover, however, forced the firefighters to move the man to a clearing where the helicopter could pick him up. The man was brought to Manoa District Park at 2:40 p.m.
