Police today arrested a 51-year-old man at Sandy Beach Park in connection with the theft of a vehicle Wednesday from a car dealership lot.

The suspect was seated in the stolen vehicle when confronted by officers who responded to a suspicious person complaint at 6 a.m. Police said the vehicle was also showing stolen license plates.

Police booked the suspect at 7:50 a.m. for investigation of auto theft, detention of stolen property and fraudulent use of a license plate after a witness identified the man as driving the vehicle.
