CFB: Louisville WR Long out for season

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville wide receiver Scott Long is out for the season after injuring his right knee in practice.
Coach Steve Kragthorpe says Long will have surgery sometime in the next two weeks after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in the knee Tuesday.
Long, a junior, missed the first four games of the year with a foot injury but had become one of quarterback Hunter Cantwell's go-to receivers since his return. Long finishes the year with 11 catches for 201 yards. He had five catches for 134 yards and two scores in last week's win over South Florida.
The Cardinals (5-2, 1-1 Big East) are at Syracuse (1-6, 0-3) on Saturday.
