CFB: Florida State suspends WR Surrency for Saturday
Associated Press
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida State receiver Corey Surrency will miss Saturday's game at Georgia Tech for disciplinary reasons.
It's the second time in as many weeks that coach Bobby Bowden has suspended a receiver. Freshman Bert Reed missed last Saturday's win over Virginia Tech for skipping classes.
No reason was given for Surrency's suspension today.
Surrency, a 24-year-old junior college transfer, had three touchdown catches in Florida State's first two games of the season.
The No. 16 Seminoles (6-1, 3-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) share first place in the ACC's Atlantic Division with Maryland.
