PRINCEVILLE
Workshops to teach on legislative participation
Free workshops to educate Kaua'i residents on participation in the state legislative process — without leaving Kaua'i — will be offered starting Wednesday at five Garden Island locations.
Participants will learn how to write testimony and where and how to submit it, and get advice and encouragement on the importance of participation by informed citizens.
The workshops are presented by former Kaua'i resident Suzanne Marinelli, public access coordinator for the Public Access Room, a division of the state's nonpartisan Legislative Reference Bureau.
Workshop schedule:
Nov. 5: 6-8 p.m., Princeville Public Library
Nov. 6: 6:30- 8:30 p.m., Hanapepe Public Library
