NFL: Colts adjust roster by picking LB, DT off waivers

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts claimed linebacker Buster Davis and defensive tackle Daniel Muir off waivers today. To make room on the 53-man roster, the Colts waived safety Jamie Silva, an undrafted rookie, and second-year linebacker Ramon Guzman.
Davis was waived by the Detroit Lions. The ex-Florida State linebacker was a third-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 2007, but didn't make the team.
Eventually, Davis signed with the Lions but again was released during the final cutdown for the second straight year.
Muir, signed as an undrafted free agent by Green Bay last season, played in three games for the Packers and made eight tackles but was released Saturday.
Guzman played in all 16 games with the Colts last season, primarily on special teams, and finished with five defensive tackles and 11 on special teams.
