University of Hawai'i senior quarterback Tyler Graunke, who engineered a second-half comeback in the Warriors' 36-17 victory over Weber State Saturday, was named Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week today.

Graunke completed 13 of 20 passes for 218 yards and three touchdowns to rally UH from a 17-7 halftime deficit.

Graunke, who did not participate in team drills until this past Tuesday after being withheld for "academic issues," entered the game in the second half after starter Inoke Funaki suffered a concussion in the team's season home opener at Aloha Stadium.

He led scoring drives on four of the team's first five second-half possession. He started it by throwing a 42-yard touchdown pass to Malcolm Lane.

He later hit Aaron Bain for scoring passes of 8 yards and 1 yard.

He will be the starting quarterback Saturday when UH travels to Corvallis, Ore., to play Oregon State.
