Big Island man struck by SUV during argument

Big Island police are continuing their investigation into injuries suffered Sunday by a 55-year-old Ka'u man who was struck by a sport utility vehicle driven by his girlfriend, whom he had been arguing with.
Police said the man is in critical but stable condition at The Queen's Medical Center with "extensive injuries to the right side of his body."
The woman suspect, 54, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of negligent injury but released pending further investigation yesterday.
