No tsunami threat for Hawaii

There is no tsunami threat to Hawai'i from the earthquake recorded at 2:21 p.m. today (Hawai'i time) in northern Japan, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in 'Ewa Beach said.
In Japan, a warning was issued for a 20-inch tsunami along the eastern coast of Hokkaido and the northeastern coast of Japan's main island of Honshu after the magnitude 7 quake. Authorities ordered people to stay away from beaches.
