More than 900 students from Nimitz Elementary School and Holy Family Catholic Academy marched with military units at Hickam Air Force Base today to remember those who died on Sept. 11, 2001.

There were other services around O'ahu, as flags around Hawai'i and across the nation flew at half-staff today. Ceremonies were held at the site of all three attacks and a memorial was dedicated at the Pentagon.

Mayor Mufi Hannemann and members of the Honolulu police, fire and emergency medical services joined in a remembrance ceremony Downtown at Bishop Square's Tamarind Park.
