NANAKULI
Recycle appliances, tires, clothes, etc., on Saturday

The monthly Aloha 'Aina Earth Day #45 Recycling Community Clean-Up Project will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Nanakuli Intermediate and High School.

The project is a way of raising money for Hawai'i schools while providing the community with a way to dispose of recyclable waste.

Residents are encouraged to bring scrap metal, car parts, bicycles, lawn mowers, refrigerators, air conditioners, newspaper, cardboard, beverage containers, passenger tires (limit of four), cooking oil, green waste, car batteries, telephone books, magazines, used eyeglasses, hearing aids, usable clothing, and computers (one per household).

All items except computers can be dropped off curbside at the school's parking lot.

For more information, call Rene Mansho at 306-1876.
