A workshop on composting with earthworms sponsored by the Malama Learning Center will be 9-10 a.m. Sept. 20 at Kapolei High School.

The workshop will look at ways of transforming kitchen waste and junk mail into rich organic fertilizer with the help of earthworms.

Cost is $10, or $8 in advance. For $25, participants paying in advance can take home their own starter kits of worms.
