NFL: Doughty, Washington out for Redskins vs. Saints

LANDOVER, Md. — Starting safety Reed Doughty and linebacker Marcus Washington missed the Washington Redskins' game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
Doughty has a stomach virus, while Washington is sidelined by a hamstring injury. Rookie Chris Horton, a seventh-round draft pick, moved into the starting lineup to replace Doughty, and H.B. Blades took Washington's spot.
With reserve Kareem Moore (hamstring) also out, the Redskins were left with only three safeties.
As expected, the Saints were without receiver Marques Colston — who had left thumb surgery and will be sidelined four to six weeks — and three defensive starters: safety Roman Harper (right hamstring), cornerback Randall Gay (left hamstring) and linebacker Scott Fujita (right knee).
Undrafted rookie Jo-Lonn Dunbar took Fujita's spot in the lineup, while Aaron Glenn replaced Gay, and Josh Bullocks replaced Harper.
