Maui County's small business awards dinner, "Core Hawaiian Values in Business," will be held Oct. 10 from 6-9 p.m. at the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa.

The event is co-sponsored by the county's Office of Economic Development in partnership with the Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce.

Awards will be presented to small businesses of the year with 10 or fewer employees and 11-50 employees; the young small business person of the year (under age 40); for lifetime achievement to a person who has been doing business in Maui County for more than 20 years, and to a business with 50 or fewer employees which has contributed significantly to helping support non-profits.
