Missing Canadian woman found in Honolulu

Police today located a Canadian woman visitor reported missing last night after telling a co-worker she had been may have been involved in an accident.
Donatella Halkier, 52, a frequent Hawai'i visitor, called a co-worker at 6:15 p.m. yesterday and mentioned the accident, which police could not confirm. Halkier was located tonight after a missing persons bulletin was issued by police.
Two other recent missing persons cases on O'ahu and three on the Big Island remain unresolved.
The following is an update on recent missing persons cases:
O'AHU
Jon Parsons, 77. The retired builder from Bendigo in central Victoria, Australia, was last seen Sept. 4. Volunteers extended the search effort through Sunday, searching the treacherous Waimalu Ditch Trail from on the upper east ridge above Onikiniki Place to the valley floor. Parsons' two sons, two daughters and their husbands, will return to Australia tomorrow and thanked the public for the search efforts today. Volunteers will continue individual searching for Parsons but no organized effort is planned. Kimberly Day Jacobs, 47. The Waikiki resident, who suffers from polio and walks with a limp, has been missing since Aug. 21. Jacobs stands 5-feet-4 and weighs 130 pounds. BIG ISLAND
Patricia Alene Kenny, 56. The Port Townsend, Wash., woman was last seen in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision of Puna on Aug. 30. Police found her rental car on Shell Road in the Nanawale Estates subdivision on Sept. 3. Kenny is 5-feet-5 and 165 pounds with blond medium-length hair. Anyone with information can call Det. Ashley Grammer, 16. The Hilo girl missing since July 4 is 5-feet-3 and 150 pounds. Hilo resident was last seen Sept. 5. He is 5-feet-6 and 220 pounds. Big Island police today reported that missing persons Shaun Dawes, 26, and Ashley Taumoefolau, 17, have been found in good health.
Dawes was located today in Sacramento while Taumoefolau was found in Hilo on Sept. 11.
