The Pali Lions Club will collect used prescription glasses from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at St. Anthony's School, 148 Makawao St., Kailua.

The collection is part of the national Lions Recycle for Sight Program.

The glasses are cleaned, packed and sent to needy people who are unable to get glasses or may not even have access to eye care.

The club also needs old newspapers for packing, boxes for storing and rags to clean lens.
