Hawaii's 4.2% jobless rate ties for 8th lowest in nation

Hawai'i's unemployment August unemployment rate of 4.2 percent tied for the 8th lowest in the nation, according to figures released by the U.S. Department of Labor.
Hawai'i's joblessness rate tied it with Vermont. South Dakota had the lowest unemployment at 3.3 percent, while the highest unemployment was found in Michigan at 8.9 percent.
The national rate was 6.1 percent.
