PHILADELPHIA _ Two-time Eagles Pro Bowl offensive lineman Shawn Andrews was deactivated for today's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Andrews was listed as doubtful on the latest injury report with back spasms that forced him out of Monday night's loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Max Jean-Gilles started in his place at guard.
Two starters on the Pittsburgh defense were also inactive, defensive end Brett Keisel and cornerback Deshea Townsend. Keisel could miss a month with a calf strain and Townsend has not practiced in the last two weeks with a heel injury. Travis Kirschke started in place of Keisel and Bryant McFadden replaced Townsend.
Also inactive for the Eagles were linebacker Joe Mays, defensive end Bryan Smith, guard Mike McGlynn, receiver Kevin Curtis, tight end Matt Schobel and defensive end Victor Abiamiri.
Inactive for Pittsburgh were receiver Limas Sweed, linebackers Bruce Davis and Donovan Woods and tackles Tony Hills and Trai Essex.
