LIHUE, KAUA'I — Kaua'i Island Utility Cooperative has scheduled a power outage beginning about 1 a.m. Thursday which will affect customers in the area from Hanalei Town to Waikoko and Princewille.

The outage is expected to last approximately one hour and will allow utility company crews tp replace a transmission line switch in Hanalei Valley.

During the outage, Kauai Coffee will provide power to Wainiha and Haena.
