A decorative Halloween candle caused a bathroom fire tonight in a Pearl City apartment, fire officials said.

The fire caused about $1,500 in damage.

It happened about 7:39 p.m. in an eighth-floor unit at 950 Lehua Ave.

The fire was extinguished within nine minutes.

No one was injured.
