Still more 'Patsy Cline' at Manoa Valley Theatre

Advertiser Staff

Manoa Valley Theatre has added three more performances of "Always … Patsy Cline," its season-opening musical, due to popular demand. That amounts to six more shows this weekend and next.

The Ted Swindley production features 28 of the country singer's fabled songs, including "Crazy," "I Fall to Pieces," "Sweet Dreams" and "Walking After Midnight," and stars Zenia Zambrano Moura, who early portrayed Cline in another vehicle, "A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline."

This time, the true-to-life story involves Louise Seger, a Houston housewife pen-pal of the performer, portrayed by Suzanne Green.

"Always" was originally slated to play Sept. 3 through 21, but requests for tickets prompted two more weekends of the musical, this Friday through Sunday and again Oct. 3, 4 and 5.

Tickets: $35 general, $30 seniors and military; $20, patrons 25 and under.

Reservations: 988-6131, www.manoavalleytheatre.com.
