'Goodnight Moon' will wrap up HTY's season

Honolulu Theatre for Youth wraps up its 2008-2009 season with the musical "Goodnight Moon," set to open April 17 and run through May 16.

All the fairytale elements in Margaret Wise Brown and Clement Hurd's Great Green Room come to life in a grand musical production of this most beloved children's classic.

Book, music & lyrics by Chad Henry.

The show opens April 17, at 7:30 p.m.; subsequent performances are Saturdays, April 18, 25, May 2, 9 & 16 at 4:30 p.m.

Tickets are $8 for children and $16 for adults; college students with ID and seniors age 60 and over are admitted for $8; active duty military receive one free child admission with the purchase of each regularly priced adult ticket. Call the HTY box office at 457-4254. (Tickets are $10/$20 for the Friday April 17 opening night performance, which includes a post-show reception.)

All performances will be held at Tenney Theatre on the grounds of St. Andrew's Cathedral in downtown Honolulu. American Sign Language-interpreted performance will be on Saturday, May 16, 4:30 p.m. The play is recommended for children ages 4 and up.
