BARCELONA, Spain — Roberta Vinci won her second WTA Tour title at the Barcelona Open on Sunday, beating beat defending champion Maria Kirilenko 6-0, 6-4.
The 61st-ranked Italian converted six of seven break chances against the sixth-seeded Russian.
Kirilenko, ranked 24 spots higher than Vinci, won less than half of her service points while managing to break Vinci only twice.
Vinci won her first tour title in Bogota, Colombia, in 2007, when Tathiana Garbin of Italy retired during the third set with a stomach illness.
