Family and friends of Jim Hutchison will hold a celebration of life at 3 p.m. Friday at Diamond Head Theatre.

Hutchison, a longtime force in Hawai'i theater as a performer, director and teacher, died April 16 of bladder cancer. He was 75.

Performers from Hutchison's many shows, students from his dance classes, colleagues from the stage, movies and television, and the public are invited to attend.

Among the confirmed participants are Terrence Knapp, Glenn Cannon, Shari Lynn, Cathy Foy, Dennis Proulx, Beebe Freitas and her daughter Roslyn, Senia Zambrano and accompanists Don Conover and Donald Yap.

Dancers from Ballet Hawaii, where Hutchison taught for many years and served on the board of directors, will perform.

Hutchison's children, Kurt and Tita, are also expected to perform.

A reception will follow.
