The Hawai'i County Fire Department is investigating a residential fire that destroyed a two-bedroom home in Keaau this morning.

The fire started just after 8 a.m. in a home on 8th Avenue.

Firefighters arrived at the scene to find the house fully engulfed but all of residents of the house had been safely evacuated.

They brought the blaze under control by 8:23 a.m. and had it fully extinguished within two hours.

The structure was deemed a complete loss. No other structure was damaged.
