Inamori to speak next month at Hawaii Convention Center
Kazuo Inamori, international business executive, author, philanthropist and Buddhist priest is scheduled to speak at a forum next month at the Hawaii Convention Center.
Inamori is founder and chairman emeritus of Kyocera Corp. and president of the Inamori Foundation. The forum, titled "The Value of Partnership Management with Employees: Opportunities in Crisis" is set for 5 p.m. May 12. The event is hosted by the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce's International Business Development Committee.
Inamori founded Kyocera Corp. at age 27 and built it into a billion-dollar company. He also started DDI (now KDDI), a long-distance Japanese telephone company.
