SPAM-A-LOT

It's no secret that we Islanders love us some canned meat. So beloved is the stuff that we've gone beyond just eating it and liking it and making it a cultural cuisine to throwing parties in its honor.

This year's Waikiki Spam Jam pays homage to Hormel's best invention by asking a dozen restaurants to make their very best Spam recipes, and inviting the whole island to taste and see why they love the stuff so much (and it goes way beyond musubi). There will be live music, games and contests for the keiki and tons of Spam merch.

Spam trivia: 7 million cans of Spam are eaten every year in Hawai'i — because we're awesome like that.
